Karl Jahrel Eldrew Yulo capped his campaign in the Cairo leg of the 2026 FIG Apparatus World Cup with a pair of bronze medals on Monday, April 6.

He placed third in the horizontal bar final with 13.733 points.

Yulo improved on his qualification score of 13.466 to secure his first podium finish in the apparatus across the three World Cup legs.

China’s Li Hongyan ruled the event with 14.400 points, while Cyprus’ Marios Georgiou took silver with 13.900 points.

A day earlier, the younger brother of two-time Olympic gold medalist Carlos Yulo also claimed bronze in the floor exercise.

The rising Filipino gymnast tallied 14.000 points to finish behind Bulgaria’s Daniel Marinov (14.233) and Russia’s Arsenii Dukhno (14.133), who won gold and silver, respectively.

The 18-year-old dynamo posted 13.900 points in the qualification round of the event.

Last month, he captured his first senior gold medal after topping the floor exercise in the Antalya leg of the World Cup in Turkey.

Yulo and the rest of Team Philippines will next compete in Osijek, Croatia, for the last leg of the series from April 9 to 12.
