Philippine international Paul Tabinas made sure his Dinamo Zagreb debut wouldn't go unnoticed.

‎The 23-year-old right-back delivered a pair of assists as Dinamo edged Kurilovec, 2-0, to reach the semifinals of the 2025-2026 Croatian Football Cup at the Maximir Stadium on March 5.

‎Tabinas thwarted his defender on the right wing with sheer acceleration before feeding a cross to Mounsef Bakrar, who sent the ball into the bottom corner to open the floodgates in the 24th minute.

‎The Tabinas show, though, was far from over as six minutes later, he displayed ball control and technique to set up Patrik Horvat and convert his deflected cross into a brilliant strike off a volley.

‎Just six minutes later, he found a running Patrik Horvat who volleyed his cross inside the net to double their lead heading into the half-time.

‎Last January, the Croatian powerhouse acquired Tabinas from Vukovar for a reported transfer fee worth €50,000 or P3.46 million.

‎Dinamo reportedly signed him to solve its right-back problems.

‎Born to a Filipino mother, Tabinas has been representing the Philippines internationally since 2022.
